The History of the Department of English begins along with the inception of the college.
The Department of English has been functioning as a supporting department by providing Part II English Since 1994.
The Department started the Undergraduate Programme in English Literature in 2009 on account of the growing popularity of the English language.
M.A English was established in the year 2012.
The department opens up new avenues for our students to showcase their talents in the form of Public Speaking Skills, Presentation Skills, Literary debate, Interview Skills and Group discussion.
